3W Growth: Enhancing Accessibility and User Engagement

Overview

Problem

3W Growth’s website was inaccessible, failing to meet Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG). This led to a high bounce rate, low user engagement, and unclear communication of their service offering. As a result, users lacked trust and weren’t converting into enquiries.

Solution

I updated the website to fully comply with WCAG standards, improving accessibility and reducing bounce rates. I also introduced a clear service overview and refined the contact page to guide users through an intuitive journey, increasing time on site and encouraging enquiries.

Improving Accessibility, Clarity, and Conversion Through User-Centred Design

As the sole designer on this short-term contract, I was responsible for all aspects of UX, research, visual design, and information architecture. Starting with heuristic and competitive analysis, I identified key usability and accessibility gaps. From there, I scaled the site-map, introduced new content pages, and streamlined the user flow to better educate visitors and prompt enquiries.

Conclusion

3W Growth was a quick turn around project. Accessibility improvements presented a technical challenge requiring careful consideration of design and compliance standards. Meanwhile, managing the full design process alone sharpened my abilities to manage end-to-end digital platform developments.
